Since COD 4 until Black Ops and through Mw2, this team has always demonstrated that it had its place among the best.
We will now trace the course of this team, its players and learn more
about their views on the PS3 eSports with the help of Jordan, also known
as "Welkott".
The InSane team was composed at first by all of the past co-leaders of
the renowned team [# BBK] who decided to make a fresh start with a new
team.
The origin of this project came through Thibaud "Haarma , Matthieu "
Norage ", Alexandre " Wax " and Francis " SpOwn" . These players, who
felt it was time to move, gave birth to this new team on Friday,
December 12, 2008 on PS3 with many ambitions, all in fair play and
friendliness.
On their debut as a new team, Insane quickly became a dominant team of
the French community. Despite many departures and arrivals of new
players, it displays a good record on CoD4, including a first place at
the OFC championship, and another first place at the Spring Ladder
GameCompete and a second, but honorable place at the Decertov2
GameCompete tournament.
The potential was already there, the chemistry was building slowly and
Insane had only to show more of itself in the new Call of Duty: Modern
Warfare 2.
Insane competed, within the first few months of Modern Warfare 2, on the
biggest tournament ever seen on the European COD stage, namely the
GameStop tournament run by GameBattles. This tournament offered for the
two finalists a ticket to the USA to meet their American counterparts.
The team easily got through in qualifying but failed on the first round
against the LAN finalists (the Imperial ex-Dignitas). The InSane team
was not discouraged and signed up to the dBGamez tournament organized by
ConsoleGaming.eu, where they made a remarkable journey by finishing
among the top 16 European teams, failing against the formidable team of
Superior Reaction. The [Ins.] also made a good impression through the 2
ladders on ConsoleGaming, managing to get into League 2 during the first
season and in the same league on the 2nd season. However, the best is
yet to come ...
...with great victory for this team after a tough final against the LmR. at the second Lan organized by
http://alpha-arena.com/ .
I will now take a look at the inner workings of the team, with the help of one of their most popular players: Welkott!
- Hi Jordan! could you introduce yourself and the current InSane line up as well? Jordan aka Welkott,
' I'm 18 and I am in my 1st year on my BTS MAI at Annonay, a small town in the Rhone-Alpes. I played video games since I was small, exclusively football games until I played an FPS for the first time : COD4, which got me immediately hooked.Insane is present on Black Ops with a roster composed by 4 people:- Welkott- Scream- Tonin- vaugrisWe are always looking for the person who fits us to complete this roster.'- After this deserved victory at the A4 Relapse Lan on MW2, you've been competing a lot less on the latest Call of Duty game (Black Ops). How do you feel about the game? What is your opinion about it?'Being only 3 players during the week because of vaugris school, we started a little behind at the start of the game, but recently we managed to start scrimming and the improvement is clear. To talk about the game itself and ignoring the casual side of it, it's really better than I thought when we're playing it during tournaments. The game requires more "skill" to win gunfights than on Mw2, and with the restriction of some weapons and more, we could have a very good game and a workable balance of AR / SMG that we can't find yet among many teams, especially french teams'- Rumours suggest that a return on COD 4 would be the wiser, if this were to happen, would you be willing to follow it ?'I already gave my opinion about this game, namely that in terms of eSports cod4 is currently the most advanced COD, with a game perfectly balanced in terms of weapons, maps and highly exploitable game modes requires as much in teamwork than individual skill. Now if a COD4 comes back I would follow the movement while keeping a priority on Black Ops, where the activity is much more present in tournaments' - We need to come back a little to the A4 Lan Relapse held on October 31 and November 1 where your team truly showed its success so far !What memories do you keep from this LAN? Your victory was it a surprise for all of you? 'I have a lot of memories and they're all good. In the game, we would pull together as a team and especially our final performance in which we could finally find our gameplay getting to its best, which we hadn't found before the Relapse. We ended up winning the final even though we were 2 or 3 maps behind if my memories are good.''Otherwise, it was great to meet up with players with whom I was playing on PSN for 2 years, and had very good times with them. I'm thinking about Jimmy, Antonin, Virgil, Paul, Matt, all LmR. players and especially the adiXions with who we had some good laugh, the staff A4 ... etc ... I can't mention everyone, there would be too many but everyone with who I could discuss also (Rayan, Roman, Peps, shigouls ...). Though we sometimes had problems with eachother online, we really had a great time together.' From left to right : InSane-Scream, Freeky_XLIV, InSane-Welkott, Vaugris. - I would like to thank you for the time you took to answer my questions, if you've got a last word for the community, say it now: 'The PS3 community continues to evolve, I would just say one thing : keep going!' I can not thank Welkott enough for kindly taking the time (and God
knows how he took the time) to answer my questions and help you learn
more about this team completely insane!
We will try to follow them on this Call of Duty and we wish them all the success they deserve!
